Lovely Statue
Sleeping Beauty is one of my all time favorite Disney films because of how stylized it is. It is often considered one of Walt's best pieces. It is considered one of the most detailed animated films of all time and I believe it was the last hand color filled animation film ever. It's a piece of artwork. Previously, the castle was filled with dioramas with "Barbie dolls". This time around, they laid tribute to the original design of the film and used the original style. I love it. The effects are amazing as well as each diorama comes to life in a mystifying way.
Eleanor Audley voiced Maleficent and is considered one of the best villains of all time. Ms. Audley also voiced Madamn Leota in The Haunted Mansion ride and the evil step mother in Cinderella.
This scene was incredible. The whole diorama lights up in a green flame right in front of your eyes.

It became a very eerie Disneyland after the fog rolled in around 9:30ish. It was so heavy that we couldn't see more than 15 feet in front of us. The fireworks were basically colored clouds. While it sucked for the firework views, it was pretty cool to see Disneyland covered in a thick gray fog, almost....foreboding.
Mr. Bumblebee had never seen Fantasmic from the start, so we sat down and watch it. This is where the Columbia is the location of Peter Pan and Hooks final duel. The Fog makes it look ghost like. 
Move onto 11pm at night. Disneyland turns into a giant dance club. Most of the rides can be walked on, but there are djs all over the park playing some of the best hits over the last 50 years. Everyone is dancing and there are disco lights everywhere. They hand out hideous hats and noisemakers to those willing to wait for them...I skipped. My mom and I got down to Prince.
You can see the crowd that has gathered but it is all in good spirits. People are just having a blast dancing and signing the night away. Farther in the distance through the fog you can see Small World.
This was just a few minutes till Midnight...a man got up on stage and proposed. She said yes. It was pretty funny because the crowd went NUTS!

My parents and Mr. Bumblebee and I. Sister is usually with us, but this year she ventured out on her own with some friends to LA. They had a good time from what I understand.

The Subs just recently reopened as Finding Nemo. I'm a Disney purist and not happy about it. Funny story however, my Dad is claustrophobic. We thought we'd try to get him on the ride. Well he made it into the Sub but he did not ride the ride. I won't go into further details, as to not embarrass him, however I have never laughed harder in my life. I love my dad.
Monorail Blue! The newest of the monorails to be built. They completely jacked up the design and now the sucker can't ride in weather that is hotter than 76 degrees...bone heads!
I have never been in the Golden Horseshoe. I've heard about how great the show is, but I was never that interested. The inside is really beautiful though, lots of little touches. It was there from the day the park opened and has been virtually untouched since then. It's nice to see some of Walt's original work still around...
I was actually very impressed with the show. Being a violin player myself, the tricks they did with their fiddles was amazing. It was hilarious as well. Each of them played at least 3 different string instruments and all of them were masters at it. While I'm not big on hoe-down stuff, this was entertaining and worth seeing once.

We do a gift exchange game that can get pretty brutal. It was fun though. We were sad to leave although Mountain Man, SIL, and I made plans for a party and I can't wait!
