Serena Grace Part I
Mr. Bumblebee and I weren't thrilled with the pictures we had at our wedding. That is another blog for another day. But we decided to have another shoot to make up for the lack of good photos we had. We contacted Serena of Serena Grace Photography to give us the photos we desired. Not only did I like her photographic style but she had worked with dogs before. And what is a family shoot without my pups. Here are just a few of my favorite shots. We took so many shots and we are so happy with the results. I can't say enough good things about Serena and we've decided to make a photo shoot with Serena hopefully a yearly occurance. Here is Serena's blog about our session. Thanks again Serena!
Tess was more interested in the bird life that lives at UCLA.
That's all for now.

Late Birthday Gift
I had no idea what I wanted for my birthday from Mr. Bumblebee. After thinking and finally deciding and a month after my birthday, I finally decided on new sunglasses!
These are called "Jennifer" from Tom Ford.I love them! It also helped that I had an unused gift card to Nordstroms to use up too. They are so light and comfortable on my face. Definitely two thumbs way up.

Rainbow Cupcakes!
For St. Patrick's day the preschool I work at had a Green Parade. To celebrate, I offered to make cupcakes for the kids to decorate. I was originally going to do all green cupcakes but after thinking about it I decided to do something more fun. I decided to make rainbow cupcakes. Started with regular white cake batter and divided them up into six bowls and the rest is in the pictures:
We had some extras so I went ahead and decorated them. They were so moist and fluffy. Yum.

The Desert.
It's so nice to have a place we can always get away to. Bumblebee ILs invited us to accomany them to the desert for a relaxing weekend. Boy did I need it too. My favorite thing about the desert is how serene and relaxing it is. The women of Bumblebee ILs family really have an eye for decorating and I just love this house. Here are a quick few pictures of the serenity in the morning at the desert.
Here is the view outside the back door.
The ladies painted a lovely saying about family on the top of the kitchen ceiling. Mr. Bumblebee got in the way, he was making our breakfast :)
Little corners filled with little decor.
I love beadboard.
Wake up in the morning to beautiful quiet and a sunshine into the house...so relaxing

Ring Shots
Since we have been playing with photography I wanted to get some shots of my ring. Unfortunately it's filthy and needs to be clean, this is the only shot I've got that my ring doesn't look grungy. However, I did get some shots of Bumblebee SIL's engagement ring. It is extra special because it is FBumblebee BIL's Grandmother's diamond in a new setting. It's gorgeous and perfect to photography.
Bumblebee SIL is the resident artist. I thought this was appropriate since she's always painting or drawing.

So Romantic...
After the engagement party SIL Bumblebee wanted to take some engagement photos. The wedding isn't for awhile and she hasn't booked a photographer yet but she wanted some nice photos to have. Mr. Bumblebee and I have been getting really into our new camera and so we decided to give it a shot. We did research all night long and got plenty of ideas and headed out to shoot around the island and the peninsula. Here are some of the shots that we took and have been processed. While they are no way near professional, they aren't that bad I think.

I'm Back
Ok...so I've fallen off of the blogwagon again. But I'm back now! Let's dive right into the current events. Bumblebee SIL and F(uture)Bumblebee BIL had an engagement party down in Newport Beach. It was amazing that in Feb. the weather was 80 degrees and perfect for a beach house gathering. FBumblebeeBIL's family also has a house in Newport and it was the perfect setting for an amazing engagement party.
Here's my flower girl...she's gotten so big! I believe that she will be returning to her role as flowergirl for Bumblebee SIL's wedding.
This is a shot from the upstairs balcony out onto the bottom level and dock. This was only about half the people there.

We got to visit with a lot of people who we usually don't see very often. It was nice to catch up.Here's the happy couple.
It was really a special day and we had a great time. At the end of the night it became even more special. Bumblebee SIL and FBumblebee BIL asked Mr. Bumblebee and I to be bridesmaid/groomsman in their wedding! YAY!! It means a lot to me that they would consider us for these precious roles. Can't wait till the big day now!
